Renee McCants 3-1
Meet Mrs. R. McCants
Hello and Welcome! My name is Renee' McCants and I am a third grade teacher at E.B. Ellington. Let me introduce my self. I am a native of the Charleston area  I attended Memminger Elementary School, Drayton Hall Middle School, and Garrett Academy. I graduated Garrett in 1999, and attended the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg. At USCS I obtained my Bachelors  in Elementary Education. I later attended the University of Central Michigan where I received  my Masters in Education.

The 2015-2016 school year is the beginning of my 12th year as an educator. I started out my teaching career in Dekalb County in Georgia and remained there for 8 years. After 8 years I got the itch to travel. In 2012 My family and I moved to the United Arab Emirates where I taught fifth grade girls English and Science. We decided to return to the United States in 2013 and return to our HOME, Charleston. It was then that I began my career with Charleston County School District. I taught third grade for two years at Burns Elementary in North Charleston. In 2015 I joined the Eagles Nest as a third grade teacher  I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I have had the pleasure of being a part of an amazing grade level and school this year.
